Graphology is the humanistic science of interpreting handwriting.
My first mentor was Rita Wallis, a graphologist. I went to a lecture where she shared how she rehabilitated prisoners with the mantra (and practise) of “change your writing, change your life.” Inspired, I went on to study the subject and became a qualified Founder Member of the British Academy of Graphology. I then went on to become Britain’s busiest graphologist, in the field of compatibility.
Handwriting becomes a habit, and if you make a conscious effort to change a motor skill your nerve pathways design a new outcome. This theory is also used in EFT.
Samples of writing are typically used for one of 7 reasons:
- Providing a holistic diagnosis for health concerns
- Detecting fraudulent signatures
- Compatibility – is this person’s character a fit with mine?
- Job selection – does the writing show the character traits necessary
- Self-knowledge
- Rehabilitation
- Assessment – if renting an apartment, you could obtain a handwritten letter as to why they qualify as your ideal tenant, and send the writing to me for verification of important traits such as reliability.
Would you like a report prior to getting engaged?
Perhaps you are thinking of hiring someone of no-fixed address and want to feel more secure?
Your elderly friend insists she is fine living alone – does her writing confirm this?
The 7 requirements for an analysis are:
- Permission – writing is someone’s “intellectual property”
- At least three samples (more is good), one of them recent on unlined paper, containing autobiographical phrases like “I am going to the theatre.” This sample should be signed.
- The other two samples could be notes, a greetings card and/or a drawing of a tree
- Age, sex and handedness, plus any disability (if known) such as blindness or depression (signs for depression would show, blindness not necessarily)
- Country of origin/first language – it’s not important that all three samples are in English, though one in English would be helpful
- Reason for the analysis such as: “I’m thinking of going into business with this person”; in which case you would also be submitting your writing for compatibility as well as insight
- How you would like to receive the report – email, fax, mail? I ask to keep the originals for reference, your reference, in case you would like me to look for something else in the future. You may then mail the originals and the additional information to me with a cheque for $300: I will then do and “deliver” the report.
